One condition
To keep payouts flowing, refer at least one new consignor every four months. Payouts are released in any month you bring someone new in — that month’s earnings plus everything accumulated since your last referral. In between, earnings accumulate and are held.
If four months pass in a row with no new referral, the accumulated balance is forfeited and earning pauses until you refer someone new. Your referrals stay attached to your account permanently either way.
Common questions
How much do I earn?
1% on every card your referred consignor sells, up to $250 per card. There’s no limit on how many cards, and no limit on how many people you refer.
How long do I earn it?
For as long as they keep consigning with us and your account stays active.
How are my earnings calculated?
The value is determined based on taking 1% of the following:
- eBay – Consignor net payout price per item
- Goldin – Final winning bid on the card — the hammer price, not including the buyer’s premium
Is the $250 per card or per order?
Per card. If your referral sells 40 cards in one submission, each card earns its own 1%.
When do I get paid?
In any month you bring in a new consignor. That payout covers that month’s earnings plus everything that accumulated while you were between referrals.
What happens in months when I don't refer anyone?
Your earnings accumulate and are held. Nothing is paid that month, and nothing is lost — as long as you refer someone within four months.
What if four months go by?
At the end of the fourth month in a row with no new referral, the accumulated balance is forfeited and earning pauses. From that point you don’t accumulate anything further until you bring in a new consignor — and the month you do, you’re paid for that specific month’s sales from all of your referrals, new and existing.
Do my referrals stay mine?
Yes, permanently. They stay attached to your account whether or not you’re actively referring.
Do I need to fill anything out?
Yes. We need a signed W-9 on file before we can issue any payment. Referral earnings are income, and payments above the IRS reporting threshold are reported to the IRS on Form 1099-NEC. You’ll get a copy of anything we file.
Who counts as a new consignor?
Someone who hasn’t consigned with Rated Rips before, who signs up and sells with Rated Rips.
Can I refer myself, or a business I own?
No.
How do I track what I've earned?
We send a referral report showing what you’ve earned, what’s accumulated, and what has been paid.
Can these terms change?
Rated Rips may update these terms, including how accumulated balances are calculated.
